Everyone may have known many of khmer singers. Nowadays Khmer songs is a bit change from the past time cause it mix with some Europe tune. And it is a new and nice developing of our song. However the songs are, people still keep listening the old song which were sung by our famous Khmer singers during 60s decade. Mr Sin Sisamuth was one of our famous singer and songwriter at that time. He was born in 1932. He used to perform in the royal palace and his name " Akthireach somlengmeas " was given to him by the prince and the public accepted that name as well. He had many achievements in art especially musical. He can sing well. At that time some Khmer tune were from Europe also such as jazz, Rock'n'roll and he also can do and sing well. Not only a famous singer, Mr Sin Sisamuth was a songwriter as well. He wrote many songs and sang it himself. It about love, romance and also talk about Cambodia, about province and view in Cambodia. I listen to his songs but there is one song that I love most is Champei siem reap which talk about the view of siem reap and about love as well. Every time I listen to that, it always remind me of the famous ancient city, amazing temple which is like a paradise. And you should check that song out when you are free. There are more song which wrote by him like (champa battombong) , Udom doung jet , (Dong steng sorngkea), and many other songs . Though time has gone very long but those still in Khmer people's heart. People still keep listening to them. Those songs are a bit old style and I agree with that but it is a relaxing music and talk about everything around you that 's why once time you listen to is and you will never forget . Mr Sin Sisamuth passed away in 1976 in Khmer rouge area. Even though he has gone but remained us many of his achievement which still exist and famous for Khmer society nowadays. This just like one of Khmer 's proverb which said that "touk tov kompong nov ".
